Kunstdorf is an experimental culture lab located in the village of Dúbravica (central Slovakia), where Periférne Centrá has its is based. The concept is opposed to Kunsthalle, a German concept denoting an enclosed building destined to artistic manifestations – a Culture house. In that way, Kunstdorf is a wall-free, limitless space in constant relation with the environment and its local context. Since 2011, we have invited artists to produce installations in the village and its surroundings. I designed this map to help visitors experience the art collection that now enriches the landscape.
The map marks the location of artwork, the village sauna, walking paths, historical and cultural attractions, and neighboring villages. Developed in collaboration with Andrej Poliak.
